This detailed ink drawing brings together two special moments from nature. The young sparrow was photographed after being stunned when it flew into a window, and after a period of care and recovery, it was successfully returned to health. The nest was discovered in our native gully after a storm had blown it from a towering tree. By combining these elements, I wanted to celebrate the fragility and resilience of birdlife, as well as the quiet beauty found in everyday encounters with nature. Through the intricate pen work and delicate textures, Nestling in Harmony captures a sense of shelter, hope, and the enduring connection between wildlife and the environments that sustain it.
